A Russian MP has said that there can only be peace in Ukraine by the “Kyiv regime” being “eliminated.”
Sergey Mironov said the problem of Ukraine will not be solved without the “complete elimination” of the Kiev regime and the “nationalist paramilitary groups.”
Mironov said that he has doubts that the US President or his administration will be able to achieve what Moscow is demanding.
Speaking to LondonLovesBusiness.com Mironov said, “No matter what the Americans and Ukrainians agree on, for Russia, without the elimination of the Zelensky regime, without the elimination of all Nazi paramilitary formations, and without demilitarization, the problem of Ukraine will not be definitively solved. In this regard, I doubt that Trump will succeed.”
He added, “If the problem of Ukraine is not solved now, a new armed conflict will flare up in the world in a few years.
“The only force capable of achieving sustainable peace is the Russian troops. It makes sense to stop a special military operation now only if the Kiev regime surrenders.”
The Russian parliamentarian noted another condition for achieving a peaceful settlement of the conflict: removing Britain from the negotiation process and reducing its influence on Kiev.
The British have already disrupted the signing of peace agreements in 2022, and there is no doubt that they will try to do so now.
“This is something that the United States should keep in mind when organizing any kind of talks on Ukraine.”
