Sean Newman, of Fine & Country and founder of The Property Experts, has announced an event he is organising called the ‘Estate Agent Success Summit’.

The Success Summit will be a TedTalk style event with speakers given 30 minutes to share their best advice for estate agents. Information and strategies which can be quickly implemented and make an immediate difference to their estate agency business.

Newman said: “I used to love going to industry events, but I have found many are expensive, boring and all too similar. They often have a drawn out three course dinner, a long awards ceremony, speeches, sales pitches, and guest speakers unrelated to the industry. Then the audience must sit through a 90-minute PowerPoint presentation to get one or two useful nuggets.

“My mission is to provide maximum value and great content to help estate agent attract more listings and sell or let more properties”.

The theme of the event is “Marketing Masterclass”, with Newman advising negotiators to look at their business as marketeers rather than estatae agents.

He added: “Estate agents must become experts in marketing – we have to promote our business to attract sellers, then we have to market properties to attract buyers and achieve the best price. Too many agents just rely on Rightmove to do both.

“By raising standards and improving knowlege, estate agents can command higher fees, create better businesses, and pay higher salaries to attract and retain top talent.”

There will be 10 figures speaking at the event including:

Simon Leadbetter, founder of Unchained.marketing, previously CMO at Keller William and head of marketing at Knight Frank.

Sean Newman

Simon Whale of Kerfuffle, who will be sharing his knowledge on marketing and AI in estate agency.

Damon Bullimore, CEO at BuildYourMarket and chief technical officer at the Nurture Group, on how to use data to prepare your estate agency business for the future.

More speakers will be announced next week.

The event is open to all UK estate agents and letting agents. Tickets go on sale today and start at £150 if booked before 5pm on Wednesday 4th October, using the discount code EARLYBIRD. £10 from each ticket purchased will go to Agents Giving. More speakers will be announced next week.
