Ambitious estate agency accelerates expansion with latest acquisition – London Wallet

Harding Green, which provides a broker-style estate agency in inner London, is attempting to reach out to self-employed letting agents to join the business.

The estate agency, headed up by Nick Carter, formerly of Chestertons, eyes the letting sector as an area of the market that offers room for growth for the company.

Harding Green offers commission structures for its agent, ranging from 60% or 70%, and rising to 80% once a consultant has reached a target of £120,000-plus in fees.

The company sent out marketing literature over the weekend ‘calling all letting agents’ to consider joining the firm.

It states: “Some of our most successful agents are historic letting agents. It’s a huge advantage to having this industry experience when becoming a broker, as it is easier to transition those skills to sales and representing buyers for retained search. It also means you can hit the ground running and bring in fees quicker than you might from just in sales.

“One of our top brokers has a rent collection book of 46 properties (not including historic tenancies) they have built over the last two years, typically paying them daily.”

Harding Green says it trains all its agents to list letting properties, and use PropTech to automate much of the process. It also provides offers a rent platform that automates paying landlords and agents, an in-house property manager, as well as onboard the landlord and oversee all compliance procedures.

“We make it easy for our agents to let properties for their landlord clients,” the firm added.
