An impressive win over Japan has teed the Swedes up for their fourth semi-final in recent years, having already toppled reigning champions USA.

Without a title to show for their efforts thus far, they will feel it is their time now.

Spain, meanwhile, have put off-field issues to the side to reach this stage for the first time in their history.

Going one step further would be a remarkable achievement.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Spain vs Sweden team news

Salma Paralluelo was the hero off the bench for the Spanish in the quarter-finals and may well have done enough to earn a start.

Catalina Coll is expected to start in goal and it will be fascinating to see if Ballon d’Or holder Alexias Putellas is again named on the bench, having started there in both of the last rounds.

Sweden, meanwhile, are not suffering with any fresh injury concerns as things stand.
