Strutt & Parker has launched a hybrid agency operation in London following a series of senior hires into a newly formed broker team.

The move follows investment by shareholder BNP Paribas last year and forms part of the firm’s expansion of its London residential business.

Since September 2025, Strutt & Parker has appointed several brokers to the new team under Claire Reynolds, including Andrew Chambers, Toby Downes, Minnie Stainrod and Zach Madison. They join existing brokers Charles Medina, Hugh Ball and Sarah James, alongside James Gow, formerly head of London sales and head of sales at the firm’s Kensington office.

The broker network operates alongside the firm’s established London offices in Notting Hill, Kensington, Fulham, Chelsea SW10, Chelsea SW3, South Kensington, Knightsbridge and Belgravia. It sits within the Private Client department and covers both sales and lettings, with brokers employed directly by the business on permanent contracts.

Under the structure, brokers work in coordination with office-based teams rather than as independent operators. The model is intended to combine centralised brokerage with local office support, while offering an alternative career route for senior agents who do not wish to move into traditional branch management roles.

Claire Reynolds, UK Head of Sales at Strutt & Parker, commented: “Since I joined the business last summer, we’ve been strategically strengthening our London estate agency offering to enable us to build a brokerage team that sits alongside our existing office network. Strutt & Parker is a unique business, and one that occupies an enviable position in the industry; we are a heritage brand backed by Europe’s leading bank, BNP Paribas.

“As the industry evolves, our size enables us to leverage our ability to both future-proof our business and pivot our structure to place top talent directly into new markets. By integrating brokers within our office network, Strutt & Parker is redefining agency in Prime Central and Prime Outer London.”

Gary Higgins, managing director at Strutt & Parker, added: “Claire’s strategic evolution of our London business has taken our agency operation to the next level and is instrumental to our growth plans. She is the only person in our industry who has worked at a high level of management and operations in corporate estate agency and also successfully built a broker-only model. In spearheading this strategy, Claire’s rare knowledge has enabled us to fuse brokerage with traditional agency in a cohesive, and future-proofed manner. The benefits will positively impact our clients, our people, and our business both now and in the future.”

Strutt & Parker says it is progressing its growth plans throughout 2026, with a number of appointments set to be announced over the coming weeks.
