Woolley and Wallis, a 10-branch estate agency operating in the south of England, has added online auctions to their existing offering.

With more than 140 years’ experience offering support with residential sales, lettings, commercial and farm and rural properties, the new auctions service adds another string to the company’s bow.

Ben Marshall, partner, Woolley & Wallis Estate Agents, said: “In an ever-changing marketplace we are always looking for ways to diversify our services to remain competitive and online auctions fit in well with this.”

The new service has been launched in partnership with Bamboo Auctions, a major supplier of online property auction technology to estate agents across the UK.

The service allows agents to list and manage their own properties for sale by auction; properties can be listed by the agent at any time, giving sellers complete flexibility over the transaction timescales.

Potential buyers can download legal information for the property, arrange viewings and place bids online, with a legally binding transaction occurring as soon as the auction ends.

“Partnering with Bamboo Auctions gives us the opportunity to offer our own auction service, retaining full control of our listings, powered by market leading technology,” Marshall added. “Speed, transparency and certainty of sale mean that vendors who have already used the service have been really impressed, with great outcomes for all parties.’’

Robin Rathore, CEO, Bamboo Auctions, added: ‘Online property auctions are fast becoming a popular choice for agents across the UK as they enable quicker transactions.”
