The Conveyancing Foundation, whose objective is to enhance the lives of those working in the property industry and to raise funds for charitable causes, has announced the reopening of applications for its Charity Grant Scheme.
Having launched last year, the scheme attracted numerous applications each quarter, leading to four fundraisers receiving grants of up to £2,000 each for their respective charities.
In its ongoing dedication to mental health and wellbeing, the Foundation has extended the grant scheme to facilitate Mental Health First Aider training for members of staff in legal practices.
Jill White, from Smoove, is the most recent Foundation Charity Grant recipient, having been awarded a Grant of £2,000 in December 2023. His impressive charity fundraising challenge involved running 50 miles throughout the month for the Motor Neuron Disease Association—double the initial challenge of 25 miles. In total, White raised over £3,000 for the charity, a cause close to her heart after losing her mother to Motor Neuron Disease 23 years ago.
Other 2023 charity grant recipients include Jessie Bishop, who ran the London Marathon for Mind, Aconveyancing for their ‘It’s a Knockout’ event in aid of ‘Samuel’s Promise,’ and Women in Residential Property, who raised funds for Ella’s charity.
The Charity Grant Scheme is open to anyone in the conveyancing industry currently undertaking a fundraising event for their chosen charity, with grants paid directly to the registered charity.
