The Guild of Property Professionals has announce that its annual conference, entitled ‘Now That’s What I Call Estate Agency’, will take place on Friday 7th February 2025, at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London.

This conference will provide an opportunity for Guild members from across the UK to connect, learn from industry experts and focus on what is needed in their business to be successful in 2025 and beyond.

The day will begin with an opening address by Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals, who will share insights and learnings from 2024 to takeaway and move successfully into 2025.

“This conference is all about equipping agents with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to excel in an evolving market. With technology and business structures changing, we will look at what the very best agents across the globe are doing in terms of their strategies for growth,” said McKenzie. “Our goal is to bring together like-minded professionals and industry leaders to collaborate and share expertise, driving innovation and quality across the property sector.”

A highlight of the conference will be the keynote presentation by internationally acclaimed speaker and pricing expert David Abbott, delivering his perhaps controversial views on agency pricing and the race to the bottom. Recognised as one of the top 99 global thought leaders on pricing, Abbott will deliver actionable strategies agents can use to increase their fees, drive revenue growth and improve agency performance.

Attendees will also gain insights from Simon Leadbetter, founder of Unchained Marketing, a strategic marketing consultancy.

Leadbetter will present strategies and techniques that the best estate agencies around the UK are using when it comes to adopting an omni-channel marketing approach to generate valuations and secure instructions.

Other speakers in the line-up include Compliance Officer, Paul Offley, who will cover critical topics in compliance for 2025, such as the Renters’ Rights Bill, Anti-Money Laundering, Disclosure of Material Information, Conveyancing and the rise in cyber threats, and Head of European Housing and Building Materials Research at RBC Capital Market, Anthony Codling. Codling’s insight into the market is invaluable to the preparation of a successful business strategy.

The event will conclude with The Guild Awards ceremony, celebrating outstanding agents who have made exceptional contributions to their clients and the industry in 2024.

“The Guild Awards are a chance for us to recognise the incredible dedication and achievements of our Members,” said Kris McLean, managing director of The Guild of Property Professionals. “These agents have gone above and beyond, setting new standards of excellence and service, and it’s an honour to celebrate them.”
