The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has spoken out over the US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth being unrealistic of Ukraine keeping hold and control over their occupied territories.
Russia is preparing an atmosphere to negotiate between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin.
President Zelensky has said, it is up to them, “they can discuss everything they want,” but they cannot talk about Ukraine and make decisions without officials from Kyiv.
Zelensky said on Saturday at the Munich Security Conference, “To my mind, they are preparing the atmosphere for their dialogue, for the dialogue between Trump and Putin.
“And I mean it is up to them, they can discuss everything they want, but not about Ukraine without us. And that is why in this case, I think it is a little bit dangerous.”
Zelensky said this is why further conversations are required between President Trump and his team.

LondonLovesBusiness.com spoke to people on the ground here in Kyiv, citizens are expressing their anger that they have fought hard for 10 years since the first war started in 2014.
Then second war started on 24 February 2022 which is almost three years since Putin invaded, speaking to people they look and sound nervous over Trump’s plans and what he will discuss with Putin.
One person told me on Saturday afternoon, that “Trump has no right to agree to any deal of our land being given to Putin,” without Ukraine being present at these peace talks.
Sacha told me today in a restuarant, that “thousands of men have either been killed or seriously injured fighting for our territory, if we give this up to that tyrant Putin, what was it all for?”
I asked him do you have any faith in Trump, he said, “Quite frankly I do not trust him.
“I do not trust Putin, I mean they are both friends and have been for many years, we are fearful of what our future holds, we have been living day to day for far too long, we are afraid of what will come next, will it be here, will it be the Baltics or NATO, who knows, does God?”
I asked him does he have family members and friends who have fought for Ukraine, and what do they say, he replied, “They are shell shocked to hear this on the news, they are now questioning if they trust President Zelensky, will he do this deal to end the war, will he sell us all short as Trump is doing?
He added to me, “Many of us don’t trust this, we do not know how this will end. If it ends with Putin being allowed to have our territory, I think, I believe it will get very bad here in Ukraine, people will take to the streets in protest, you will see. Trust me,” he told me.
