Chartering Spirit of Ponant will, admittedly, be beyond most Londoners’ budgets. It costs €65,000 to 75,000 a week to rent the whole boat depending on the season, with an extra €15,000 “package deal” to cover fuel, food and drink, transfers and some extras. However, when Ponant threw the cabins open to individual hire (starting at €7,500 per guest per week) early in the first Seychelles season, two women ended up having the whole craft and crew to themselves. So, you know, it’s worth a punt.
