Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils can go a long way to securing a top-four finish in the Premier League with victory in tonight’s trip to Spurs, as they come up against Ryan Mason on his second debut as the capital club’s interim manager.
It’s familiar territory for Tottenham to find themselves in as they wrestle to qualify for any European competition next season having let their Champions League chances slip by, with their hopes all-but extinguished in the utter hammering at Newcastle last time out. Mason has reverted to a back-three and recalled Richarlison as a result of that dismal performance.
United, meanwhile, have been able to name Bruno Fernandes in their starting line-up ahead of naming their team. A point will take them third in the table before tricky fixtures with Aston Villa and Brighton in the race for Europe.
