Declan Rice is poised to undergo his medical at Arsenal as a blockbuster £105million transfer finally nears completion after a total agreement was reached with West Ham. The Gunners have also struck a deal with Ajax for Dutch defender Jurrien Timber, with Mikel Arteta now said to be stepping up his bid for rumoured Manchester United target Jeremie Frimpong at Bayer Leverkusen as they also target Romeo Lavia and Aurelien Tchouameni.
Chelsea are reportedly set to bid for Moises Caicedo as they too eye Lavia, with contact also believed to have been made over Roma’s Paulo Dybala and maybe now even Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun. Celta Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga also remains in Mauricio Pochettino’s sights, along with Ishe Samuels-Smith and Brazilian duo Angelo Gabriel and Matheus Franca. Manchester United have now signed Mason Mount and are bidding for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, with talks over Rasmus Højlund continuing with Randal Kolo Muani and Sofyan Amrabat also on Erik ten Hag’s shortlist.

Saliba’s new contract to be announced
William Saliba’s new four-year contract will be announced tomorrow, The Athletic report.
It will be worth around £10million a year, a considerable increase on his previous terms, and has no release clause.

Kane ‘will not join Bayern this summer’
Bastian Schweinsteiger does not believe Harry Kane will leave Tottenham this summer amid interest from his former club Bayern Munich.
Kane has entered the final year of his contract at Spurs and has been offered bumper new terms to recommit, though Standard Sport understands the striker currently has no plans on signing while the transfer window remains open.
Bayern believe they have a chance to lure Kane away despite Spurs having already rejected their opening bid of £60m and reiterated that their talisman is not for sale, and Schweinsteiger does not expect that stance to change.

Chelsea explore Franca deal
Flamengo have told Chelsea to pay £21million for young star Matheus Franca, writes Nizaar Kinsella.
The Blues are currently exploring a move for the 19-year-old, who ranks among Brazilian football’s top talents.
The Brazil Under-20 international is known to officials at Stamford Bridge who are increasingly turning their attention towards signing young players directly from South America following the Boehly-Clearlake takeover last year.

Postecoglou on Kane plans
New Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has explained his tactical plan to build around Harry Kane and Heung-min Son for the coming season.
After a number of years of turgid, defensive football under first Jose Mourinho and then, though not initially, Antonio Conte, Spurs fans are crying out for a more expansive tactical approach – a style Postecoglou is well-versed in.
Kane and Son are the most effective partnership in Premier League history, though the former’s future remains very much up in the air as he enters the final year of his contract.
Bayern Munich believe they can lure him to Germany, though Spurs insist the striker – and soon-to-be captain – is not for sale and Postecoglou has told fans that he is planning for life with Kane.

Man United set to lodge Hojlund bid
Manchester United are set to test Atalanta’s resolve with a £50million bid for striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The Telegraph claim that Erik ten Hag has decided to pursue the young star, having admitted defeat in their attempts to sign Harry Kane.
Atalanta have put an £86m price tag on the 21-year-old’s head, but United believe that figure will drop.

Perisic wants to cancel Tottenham contract
Hadjuk Split want to being Tottenham wing-back Ivan Perisic back to the club.
Sky Sports report that Perisic is open to the move having spent six years at the club as a young prospect.
Perisic has just one year left on his contract and is one of Spurs’ highest-earners on a reported £180,000 a week, but would like to discuss a mutual termination to become a free agent.
Hadjuk Split have yet to make an approach.
Andre Onana agrees Man United contract
Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Andre Onana.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who adds that United returned to the negotiation table with Inter Milan for the goalkeeper as they look to agree a fee.
A new bid worth £43m has been submitted but Inter are still holding out for closer to £47m, which is now the only stumbling block with the player agreeing a long-term contract.

Reiss Nelson has signed a new contract with Arsenal.
The winger’s previous deal expired on June 30, but he has agreed fresh terms that will run until 2027.
The contract also contains the option for it to be extended by a further 12 months.
