Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all still hunting huge signings with just two days to go now before the January transfer deadline. Arsenal are not giving up on Moises Caicedo after having a second bid for the Ecuador midfielder worth around £70million rejected by Brighton. A third bid is believed to be imminent and Jorginho is now being lined up as an alternative!

Chelsea have re-opened talks over Enzo Fernandez as they also look to make a huge splash in midfield. The Blues are increasingly confident they can still sign Argentina’s World Cup winner before the market shuts for business at 11pm GMT after making a British record bid. Chelsea have also been interested in Everton’s Amadou Onana and Caicedo team-mate Alexis Mac Allister.

Tottenham’s swoop for Pedro Porro is in major doubt but they remain in talks to salvage a deal. Meanwhile, they have reportedly tabled a bid for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie and Jude Bellingham’s younger brother Jobe. Spurs have also agreed a fee for young Chelsea striker Jude Soonsup-Bell. Follow all the latest transfer news, rumours, gossip and deals as they happen live below!

Arsenal face huge Caicedo defeat

Brighton believe Moises Caicedo is staying put – and that is that.

Despite talk of a third Arsenal bid for the Ecuadorian midfielder, the Seagulls are staunch in their belief that he will not leave.

The Athletic note that Caicedo is under contract to 2025 with a further 12-month option in his deal.

That could be why Arsenal are turning towards Jorginho…

Bryan Gil’s delight at rejoining Sevilla

Bryan Gil has described Sevilla as the “club of my life” after re-signing for the LaLiga club on loan from Tottenham.

Spurs confirmed the deal after landing Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal, Gil arriving back at the club he left for £21million plus Erik Lamela in 2021.

He told his Twitch stream unveiling: “I arrived here at the age of 9 from Barbate. I was very small and at that time I did not have time to study and go and come back, so I trained once with the team and, with permission from the club, only came on game day.

“For me, Sevilla is the club that has seen me grow and where I have been happy. It is the club of my life.”

Inter eye Premier League defenders

Former Tottenham target Milan Skriniar is heading to Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan have identified a swell of potential replacements.

Victor Lindelof is said by Fabrizio Romano to be their top target, after being rejected by Lille’s Tiago Djalo.

But Manchester United are reportedly not keen to sell their reserve centre-back.

Tuttosport name Japhet Tanganga as one option while, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah and Thilo Kehrer of West Ham are on their shortlist.

Key factor in Fernandez deal

Speaking of sell-on fees, one key factor in Enzo Fernandez’s future is that Benfica will not get anywhere near the full amount of what Chelsea pay them.

That is because, as TyCSports highlight, Fernandez’s former club River Plate hold a 25 per-cent sell-on clause in his contract.

With a £115m fee, that’s a hefty £28m for the Argentine club!

How Spurs made Porro breakthrough

Tottenham have agreed a £40million deal to sign Sporting CP defender Pedro Porro, Standard Sport understand.

The 23-year-old will travel to London on transfer deadline day to complete his medical after talks almost collapsed over transaction fees.

Bakayoko future still not sorted

AC Milan, Chelsea and Cremonense are in complex three-way talks that would see Tiemoue Bakayoko switch clubs for the duration of the season.

Bakayoko, who hasn’t played for AC Milan this season due to a contract clause that would force his purchase for £12m, wants to switch to Serie A minnows Cremonense. Discussion around who pays his wages is ongoing.

Milan and Chelsea ready to cut their losses but Bakayoko entitled to a good wage through his current £120,000-a-week deal expiring in 2024.

Tielemans also an option for Arsenal

Arsenal are considering a late swoop for Youri Tielemans if their bid for Moises Caicedo fails.

According to 90min, the Leicester playmaker is still on their radar after lots of interest in the summer.
