The transfer window is now open and all of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are likely to be busy. First up on the Red Devils’ agenda is Mason Mount, but a £40million bid has been rejected by Chelsea for the midfielder. The Blues are set to sell multiple stars this summer but want Brighton star Moises Caicedo, amid talks with Villarreal as they eye striker Nicolas Jackson.

Arsenal are close to getting the Declan Rice deal over the line, are will then reportedly turn their focus to a shock move for Kai Havertz, though Chelsea are holding out for £75million. Reports also suggest the Gunners retain an interest in Joao Cancelo of Manchester City.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are strongly linked with Napoli defender Kim min-Jae and could yet enter the Kylian Mbappe race should their takeover be completed. Tottenham are thought to be closing in on a deal for David Raya and continue to track James Maddison, while Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of Jude Bellingham. Man United’s Harry Kane interest ends

Manchester United have pulled out of their bid to sign Harry Kane.

Tottenham’s refusal to sell has led to The Guardian reporting on the Red Devils accepting that the jig is up – and they’re set to miss out on Victor Osimhen too.

Napoli’s £130m price tag is also too high for United.

Atalanta youngster Rasmus Hojlund is named as a target that they retain interest in, with Erik ten Hag described as disappointing but understanding of their inability to sign Kane.

Brentford have had a club-record £30million bid for Nottingham Forest striker Brennan Johnson rejected.

Thomas Frank has long been an admirer of the 22-year-old but has failed in a first approach that falls short of the Midlands club’s valuation.

Forest see Johnson as pivotal to their aims for the coming season, having narrowly avoided relegation this term.

The club retaining their Premier League status has made them able to resist approaches from Brentford. It remains to be seen if the Bees will return with an improved offer.
