The summer transfer window is well and truly hotting up with deals and bids landing left, right and centre for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham. The Gunners are fighting Manchester City for Declan Rice but the Premier League champions have seen their opening offer for the England midfielder rejected by West Ham. Rice’s price tag remains £100million with the Hammers no doubt keen for a bidding war to blow up.

Jurrien Timber is another player Arsenal are bidding for while Chelsea are pushing to land Moises Caicedo, with Nicolas Jackson’s deal in the bag and an announcement imminent. Kai Havertz’s switch from Chelsea to Arsenal is also not far off with a medical reportedly completed.

Elsewhere, Tottenham are set to unveil new goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario while James Maddison is their next target. Manchester United may be out of the race for Harry Kane but Bayern Munich are said to have reignited their interest. Follow all the latest transfer news, rumours and signings via our live blog!

Breaking news! West Ham REJECT Man City bid for Declan Rice

Manchester City’s £90m bid for Declan Rice has been rebuffed by West Ham.

The Telegraph report on the proposal, worth £80m initially plus £10m in add-ons, not meeting their valuation for the midfielder.

West Ham want £100m-plus with Rice now the subject of a bidding war between City and Arsenal.

A third Gunners bid is said to be imminent!

Arsenal consider Declan Rice alternative

Arsenal have identified Youssouf Fofana as a potential alternative to Declan Rice.

The Gunners must face the reality that they could miss out on their top target amid a bidding war with Manchester City.

The Mail say a £30m bid would be enough to land 24-year-old France international Fofana.

Celtic not concerned by potential Tottenham raid

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has responded to claims that Ange Postecoglou could return to Glasgow to sign their top players for Tottenham.

Rodgers said: “Listen, when you’ve got top players they are always going to attract attention elsewhere.

“Those boys have come in and done exceptionally well. But I don’t worry about that.”

Napoli seek to halt Chelsea interest in Victor Osimhen

In recent days, it has been reported that Chelsea are stepping up their interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The Italian champions have long demanded a huge fee in the region of £130m yet the Nigerian only has two years left on his contract, with it claimed that he doesn’t want to sign a new deal.

However, local newspaper Cronache di Napoli are today detailing a new contract offer from Napoli.

That includes a release clause for Osimhen and a “generous” pay increase, plus plans to bolster the squad to maintain their competitiveness at the highest level. Sassuolo’s Maxime Lopez is said to be a target.

Tottenham to start James Maddison talks

Leicester want a whopping £60m for James Maddison.

Talks with Tottenham are set to begin with the Telegraph stating that an opening offer of £40m, featuring add-ons and instalments, is being planned by the north Londoners.

Spurs hope that Maddison’s contract expiring in a year’s time, plus the Foxes relegation to the Championship, will see them strike a compromise.

AC Milan want cut-price Christian Pulisic deal

Chelsea’s summer sales are set to continue with AC Milan pushing for the signing of Christian Pulisic.

TMW report on the Rossoneri valuing the American winger in the region of £15m, as they hope to do a deal with Chelsea for Ruben Loftus-Cheek at a similar price.

However, the Blues want closer to £25m with discussions set to continue over the coming days.

Kai Havertz ‘spotted in Arsenal kit’

The old transfer market rumour mill would not be complete without a “leaked” image of a player in their new kit.

And here we have Kai Havertz supposedly in his Arsenal shirt having completed a medical in Spain on the weekend.

Standard Sport have reported the Gunners were hard at work getting the German’s £65m move officially over the line yesterday, with an announcement possible today.

Is this image legitimate? Or is it AI? An extremely handy piece of work on MS Paint? Time will tell…

Key moment in Moises Caicedo bid

Chelsea are set to hold talks with Brighton over a deal for Moises Caicedo.

Personal terms have reportedly been agreed between the club and player but Brighton are remaining staunch over their hefty price tag.

The Seagulls’ exact valuation varies from £80m to £100m, depending on who you read, but Chelsea have only had one official bid in the £60m region rejected earlier this year.

Competition from Manchester United, who are targeting Caicedo after talks over Mason Mount collapsed, could be the factor that prompts Chelsea into finding a solution with Brighton – or missing out entirely.

Arsenal have high hopes for Jurrien Timber

Arsenal believe they can do a deal for Jurrien Timber with a £10m saving.

Ajax want £50m for the Dutch defender yet Standard Sport understand the Gunners plan to seal the deal for £40m.

A second bid has landed at the Amsterdam club’s desk, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Timber has already agreed to personal terms on a five-year deal in north London.

Big day ahead of us in Declan Rice deal

Manchester City have made their opening gambit to sign Declan Rice – but are still some way short of West Ham’s price tag for the midfielder.

After Arsenal’s second bid worth £90m (made up of £75m plus £15m in add-ons) was rebuffed, City have offered a guaranteed £80m with £10m in add-ons, according to multiple reports.

It is unclear exactly how the deal is structured at this point, with that one factor in Arsenal’s bid being knocked back.

Pep Guardiola hold talks with Declan Rice earlier in the summer, say The Guardian, and City clearly look determined to get a deal done.

How will Arsenal respond? Fabrizio Romano reports on a third Gunners bid coming TODAY.

Buckle up…
