The US President Donald Trump has said that Kyiv started the war with Russia, which is absolutely false claims, and he has said this rubbish following the meeting between US and Russian officials in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Following “very good” peace talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Trump said that Kyiv started the war with Moscow, despite Russia invading Ukraine on 24 February 2022 which took the sovereign state by surprise.

Trump said in a message to Ukrainians who feel betrayed, “I hear that they’re upset about not having a seat, well, they’ve had a seat for three years and a long time before that.

“This could have been settled very easily.”

Trump told BBC News, “You should have never started it. You could have made a deal.”

Trump said that “very good” talks happened in Saudi without Ukraine being allowed to take part, the US President said that Russia wants “to stop the savage barbarianism.”

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kyiv will not accept any results of the talks that has been held in Saudi, as it was done “behind Ukraine’s back.”

Speaking to reporters in Turkey, “It feels like the US is now discussing the ultimatum that Putin set at the start of the full-scale war.

“Once again, decisions about Ukraine are being made without Ukraine. I wonder why they believe Ukraine would accept all these ultimatums now if we refused them at the most difficult moment?”
