The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have detained Vladimir Putin’s “shadow fleet” ship and is being held at the port of Odesa, under the flag of an African country.

The SBU posted on Telegram that the vessel has been sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian security services said the owner of the ship regularly changes the name of the ship, the Kyiv Independent reported.

The SBU said that prior to the war the cargo ship was docked in Sevastopol at least seven times to export illegal agricultural products and transported 7,000 tons of grain from Crimea to Africa.

There is 16 crew members and the Captain who are citizens of the Middle East, the SBU said that they collected evidence of illegal entry into Ukraine’s occupied territories.

A Russian oil tanker was hit again in the Back Sea last Tuesday which is the fourth incident in a week as Ukrainian forces are stepping up their attack on Putin’s shadow fleet.

The Turkish directorate of maritime affairs said the tanker, Midvolga 2 was hit 80 miles of their coastline by a Ukrainian drone as it sailed from Georgia carrying a cargo of sunflower oil.

The ship did not request any help and no injuries were reported among their thirteen crew members.

Two weeks ago Ukraine “successfully” attacked two sanctioned Russian oil tankers using Sea Baby naval drones off Turkey’s Black Sea coast.
