The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have received another batch of more than 2,000 Ukrainian-made drones, which will be used in the “hottest sectors of the front.”

The Ukrainian government warned that the “kamikaze drones” will “inflict colossal losses” to Russian troops across the 600-mile long frontline in eastern Ukraine.

As well as the kamikaze drones Ukrainian troops will also use “reconnaissance” unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) which will be used to locate Russian forces for precision strikes.

Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said, “We transferred 2,000 Ukrainian drones from the government to the logistics forces.

“The General Staff will distribute and transfer the drones to the military to the hottest sectors of the front.”

Fedorov said on Saturday, “the batch included ‘birds’ exclusively of Ukrainian production.

“Among them are copters and aircraft-type UAVs: reconnaissance, kamikaze, reusable bombers.

“The drones will help hit enemy positions and equipment. All UAVs were purchased as part of the government program.”

He added, “We continue to systematically transfer drones to the Defense Forces, because it is the ‘birds’ that inflict colossal losses on the enemy.

“Last week alone, some 39 tanks, some 57 guns, some 34 armored vehicles and 307 strong points were hit by drones.

“This is minus millions of dollars from the Russians.”
