In the early hours on Saturday a bus load of migrants was moved into the Britania Hotel in Canary Wharf under the cover of darkness to avoid protesters.
The bus load of migrants appeared to be all men and were filmed carrying A4 type brown envelopes and were ushered inside by security guards wearing body cameras.
The government will use the hotel as temporary accommodation for the asylum seekers, meaning a limited period of time and it will not be permanent, so they claim.
