Vital US military aid for Ukraine could be stopped as the US bill to avert the government shutdown excludes billion-dollar packages for Kyiv.
US media have reported that in a vote of a separate bill on $24 billion of military aid could be held back next week from being sent to Ukraine as previously promised.
US President Joe Biden is facing increasing difficulty to pass through further financial assistance through Congress for Ukraine.

Republican resistance is gaining momentum and the US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy recently stated that the Democrats are putting “Ukraine in front of America,” which will be seen a warning for officials in Kyiv.
President Biden said, “We cannot under any circumstances allow American support for Ukraine to be interrupted.
“I fully expect the [House Speaker] will keep his commitment to the people of Ukraine and secure passage of the support needed to help Ukraine at this critical moment.”
the US House Speaker has said that there cannot be “no blank cheques” as so far the Biden administration has spent more than $43.9 billion since the war started on 24 February 2022.
President Volodymr Zelensky visited the US Congress to assure the politicians that Ukraine are winning the war against Russia, however he said that they will keep needing military aid to save the West from future Russian aggression.
