Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as the S & P 500 posted narrow gains Tuesday, and what’s on the radar for the next session. Apple Downtown Josh Brown had what I would humbly call the quote of the day on CNBC. Here it is: “There is a gigantic meteor heading toward the AI theme, and it’s going to hit this year. We don’t know if it’ll be May or in September, but I want people to understand Apple is coming. Agentic Siri is coming.” He believes you’ll be able to tell Siri — or something like it that perhaps works better than the Siri we all know now — do this, do that. Move money to this account. We shall see. Shares of Apple are down around 3% so far this year. They are down 8.5% from the Dec. 3 high. Shares are up almost 8% in the last year. AAPL 1Y mountain Apple shares in the past 12 months Amazon We’ll be watching the stock after it broke its nine-day down streak Tuesday, with a 1.2% gain. Amazon was down 17% over that 10-day period. So far in 2026, the stock is down about 13%. Amazon is off 22% from the 52-week high hit back in early November. CNBC TV’s Morgan Brennan will have more on Amazon and Apple Wednesday on ” Worldwide Exchange ,” starting at 5 a.m. ET. Data on ‘Squawk Box’ The durable goods report comes out at 8:30 a.m. along with housing starts. Becky Quick, Joe Kernen and Andrew Ross Sorkin will have the numbers and any market reaction, instantly. On durable goods, economists polled by Dow Jones are calling for a 2% drop. On housing starts, they’re looking for a 5.1% jump. Wingstop reports in the morning The stock has gained 11% over the past three months. Wingstop shares are down 35% from the June high. WING 3M mountain Wingstop shares in the past three months DoorDash reports after the bell The stock has lost about 23% in the past three months. Recent data provided by Generation Lab’s Verb.AI, which tracks the buying patterns of Americans between the ages of 18-34, shows that DoorDash is by far their preferred food delivery service. Investors seem less confident. The stock is off 43% from the October high. Fed minutes Hear what the Federal Reserve is really saying when we get policymakers’ latest meeting minutes at 2 p.m. sharp on ” Power Lunch ” with Kelly Evans and Brian Sullivan. Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg will take the stand in the case against Meta Platforms in Los Angeles. The lawsuit accuses the company of making its product addictive for children, causing mental distress. The stock is down 3% so far this year. It is down 20% from the August high.
