Quicklet in Northern Ireland has announced the acquisition of property management company, ACE Property, for a seven figure sum.

Located in Bruntsfield, just outside Edinburgh city centre, Ace Property is a property management and lettings agency established in 2005 by Stuart Johnson and Alan Nash. Nine staff will be transferring from ACE Property to Quicklet as a result of the acquisition.

Quicklet, headquartered on the Lisburn Road in Belfast, was founded in 2010 and has further branches in Lurgan and Lisburn. Following on from its acquisition of Pinpoint property in South Belfast in 2023, Quicklet is actively looking to make further acquisitions in Belfast and Edinburgh and in hubs close to key regional cities with a large student population.

Working towards a three year goal to have 5,500 properties under management by 2026, the acquisition of Ace Property will be the eleventh such purchase that Quicklet has made since its foundation, including the acquisition of Albany lettings in Edinburgh in October 2019.

Gavin McEvoy, director of Quicklet said: “The acquisition of ACE Property is exciting as it allows us further build our portfolio of managed properties in such a buoyant market, especially in student-dense cities.

“This purchase is the perfect fit for our business and further strengthens our footprint in Edinburgh, following the acquisition of Albany Property in 2019. The ACE property team are well established in the business and we are very much looking forward to welcoming the team to Quicklet.”

Dermot O’Hanlon, co-director of Quicklet, added: “We are delighted to be expanding further into the Scottish market with this purchase. At Quicklet, we are committed to further growth and have a clear vision of where we want to take the business. The strength of the entire team we have built over the years is allowing us to realise our vision for the business.”
