Benjamin Stevens has joined eXp UK’s self-employed estate agency platform, bringing its full residential sales and commercial operations onto the network.

The North West-based agency went live on the platform yesterday, with the move marking a full transition to eXp’s model by the established multi-service business.

Founded in 2004 by Steven Wayne at the age of 22, Benjamin Stevens has grown steadily over two decades, expanding from its original Edgware headquarters into Bushey and beyond, while also developing a successful block management division and partner agent hub model covering London, Greater London and surrounding areas.

The decision to join eXp UK reflects a strategic shift, allowing the company to benefit from the brand’s global platform, technology, training and support infrastructure.

Wayne, who now sits on the National Advisory Council for the Guild of Property Professionals, said: “I’ve always believed in building something properly and doing the right thing by clients and by the people who work with me. Benjamin Stevens is my life’s work and when it came to deciding how best to take the business forward, I wanted a solution that strengthened what we already have, rather than trying to reinvent everything on our own.

“Benjamin Stephens has been around for a long time in its traditional format, but back in 2019, I recognised that estate agency could be done differently and so we started our own self employed model. With eXp UK launching shortly after and doing fantastic job in driving the model, we have decided to join forces with them to expand our footprint from a local company to one with a truly global reach.

“Joining eXp UK gives us access to industry-leading technology, training and support, while allowing us to remain in control of our brand and how we operate day to day. For me, it’s about creating long-term security and opportunity for the business, our agents and our clients, and eXp provides the platform to do exactly that.”

Adam Day

The partnership adds further momentum to eXp UK’s growing Team model, which continues to attract established estate agency businesses looking to modernise their operations while maintaining autonomy within their local markets.

Adam Day, head of eXp UK and Europe, commented: “Benjamin Stevens is exactly the type of established, forward-thinking business our Team model has been built for. Steve has spent more than 20 years growing a respected brand with deep local roots, and this move is about accelerating that success rather than starting again from scratch.

“By joining eXp UK, Benjamin Stevens gains the scale, technology and global reach of a major international platform, without sacrificing the culture, autonomy or values that have driven its success to date. It’s another strong signal of how established agencies are choosing to evolve in the modern market.”
