The seven piece are still going strong after nearly 40 years and are set to make their first appearance in front of a British Summer Time audience when they perform on Friday.

The Hyde Park series will also see Lana Del Rey, Bruce Springsteen, Blackpink, Take That and Billy Joel headline across weekends in June and July in the capital.

Pink and Gwen Stefani got the party started (no pun intended) with two action packed sets across last weekend that, at one point, saw the former showered with the ashes of a fan’s mother. “I don’t know how I feel about this,” Pink said before continuing singing.

While such events are unlikely when Axl, Slash and co. hit the stage in central London for the second date, crowds can expect fireworks, hits and a lot of guitar solos.

The Darkness and The Pretenders are among the support acts.
