Women in Estate Agency (WiEA) has announced the next session in its leadership training programme, titled “The Importance of a Commercially Aware Leader.” The one-day course will take place in London on 21 October 2025.

The session is aimed at women across the residential property sector—whether they are seeking leadership roles, currently managing teams, running their own businesses, or looking to build commercial knowledge relevant to the industry.

The course will cover core business concepts such as profit and loss, budgeting, and key performance indicators (KPIs). It is designed to help participants strengthen their commercial awareness, strategic thinking, and leadership approach.

In line with WiEA’s focus on practical and accessible development, the workshop offers a space to engage with these topics in a clear and supportive setting.

“Understanding your numbers shouldn’t feel intimidating, it should feel empowering,” said Jo Bourne, WiEA leadership training course leader. “Commercial confidence is often the missing piece when it comes to career progression. This training gives you the tools, clarity and courage to lead with real influence.”

Rather than focus on theory, the session is packed with real-world strategies participants can put into practice straight away. It is suitable for everyone, from aspiring leaders and self-employed agents to experienced managers looking to refresh their skills.

Clare Yates, WiEA committee member and training leader, added: “We’ve built this session to be practical, uplifting and real. We don’t want women to feel like they’re on the back foot in financial conversations – we want them at the table, making decisions, shaping strategy and leading change.”

Each workshop is kept deliberately small to foster connection, support and shared growth. At just £100 for a full day, it’s one of the most affordable, and impactful, ways to invest in your career.
