March is Women’s History Month, and we are excited to celebrate the incredible women who shape and inspire our world. Today we’re spotlighting global inspirational icon Germany Kent and her extraordinary contributions through their achievements, service, and impact.
Germany Kent inspires us. She is authentic and empowering. She has been successful in business & entrepreneurship, community service & volunteerism, and education, not to mention entertainment and media.
“I stand on the shoulders of a lot of overworked, overlooked women who have worked hard to move the needle forward in advancing gender equality,” explains Kent.
Kent says she learned a lot about hard work from her mother and grandmother. “My whole family is inspiring. Both my mom and grandmother made history. My mom was elected the first-ever woman and Black mayor in her city in Mississippi, USA. My grandmother was inducted into the Hall of Fame at her college in Mississippi, USA,” says Kent.

Growing up, Kent says she loved entertaining audiences in plays and learned that participating in pageants was a way for her to have a voice for social impact. “We had to learn about current events so it forced me to engage with news, and I enjoyed keeping up with important issues that were making headlines.”
She ended up becoming a formidable title contender making history in multiple pageants including Hal Jackson’s Talented Teens International Pageant where she won the title “Miss Personality” out of girls from over 80 countries.
“At that time I didn’t realize how big of a deal that was. It wasn’t until later that I came to know that it was a huge deal in terms of how it changed the trajectory of my life,” says Kent.
Kent brings star power to lots of things with her award-grabbing career. The #1 best-selling, award-winning author is excited about the worldwide influence she has garnered as a global thought leader.
“I am a pursuer of wisdom,” says Kent. “I’m constantly exploring how to live a purpose-driven life. I’ve always wanted to have an impact, and inspiring people is definitely me in my natural habitat.”
Let’s just say her mission is accomplished. Her innovative spirit and relentless pursuit of excellence paved the way for the landscape we see today as the author of more than 2,000 quotes.
She has been featured in Metro (UK), Cosmopolitan (UK), Good Housekeeping (UK), Daily Mail, MSN Malaysia, MSN South Africa, Yahoo Canada, India Times, Forbes India, and more.
There was never any doubt that the pageant girl was a phenom and her influence being quoted around the globe has proved it.
But, Kent has gone from bylines to making headlines for her activism. In addition to philanthropy for which she has received a Global Philanthropy Award from Empower magazine, Kent has earned a Humanitarian of the Year Award from the International Trailblazers Awards.
For her global community service, Kent is also the recipient of a prestigious Lifetime Community Service from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a global service organization with over 360,000 members.
She has also gained worldwide attention for her advocacy for social media etiquette, promoting mentoring, and volunteerism. Kent is a fervent supporter of literacy initiatives and encourages youth to live out their dreams.
In 2015, Kent was endorsed by the New York, New York, USA, and UK leading influencer marketing company Onalytica for her social influence on their coveted worldwide list of Top 100 Individuals and Brands in SMM.
Last year, Kent was named by the UK’s Leaderboard Ltd to the Rise Global Power 100.
With an extraordinary body of work including influential books, impact on law reform, women’s rights, and government, to service at human rights organizations, Kent is leading the charge.
“Influence, to me, means understanding that to whom much is given, much is required,” she says.
All that said, Kent is discovering the purpose of influence and has no signs of slowing down.
“Now is not the time to become complacent. There is so much more work that has to be done,” Kent says. “I will continue to be a force for positive change, in the months and years ahead.”
