Global electric mobility technology brand ZEEKR has celebrated the delivery of its first luxury electric vehicle to a customer in Europe.

The Electric Blue ZEEKR 001 was handed over personally by ZEEKR Europe CEO, Spiros Fotinos, together with his colleagues Lothar Schupet, Chief Commercial Officer, and Marc Bras, Head of Sales for the Netherlands, at the brand’s new Hi-Tech Service Center in Zeist, in the Netherlands.

Pre-orders opened in the Netherlands and Sweden on 28 June, and only 35 days later, the first European specification ZEEKR 001 models began rolling off the production line – testament to the world-class production system used in ZEEKR’s intelligent factory.

Now, with the first customer delivery taking place – with many more soon to follow, including the ZEEKR X urban compact luxury SUV – ZEEKR has reached an important milestone in its global roadmap as the brand helps to drive forward the transition to electric mobility by making luxury electric vehicles accessible to customers in Europe. (ZEEKR 001: Combined power consumption in kWh/100km: 18.2-18.5 (WLTP). Combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 0).

ZEEKR X: Combined power consumption in kWh/100km: 16.5-17.5 (WLTP). Combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 0).

ZEEKR Europe CEO, Spiros Fotinos, said, “We’ve recently opened our first European ZEEKR Center in Stockholm and – in just a few days – Amsterdam.

“Now we are happy to hand over our first vehicle internationally – here, in the Netherlands. This is very proud moment for all of us, and we’re delighted to see the first of many customers in Europe experiencing for themselves what makes ZEEKR unique.

“We are committed to making the transition to full electric simple, seamless, and effortless – not when e-mobility becomes an obligation, but right now, so that we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.”

ZEEKR’s first customer in Europe has done exactly that: his new ZEEKR 001 is his first EV, replacing a series of combustion engine vehicles. The flagship Privelege AWD model, of which he is now the proud owner, offers an exceptional balance of performance, range, and efficiency, coupled to outstanding ride, handling and refinement, and cutting-edge infotainment, connectivity, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Lothar Schupet, Chief Commercial Officer at ZEEKR Europe, said, “ZEEKR recognises that going electric can only be successful if world-class vehicles are matched by a world-class customer experience, and that customer experience is our obsession.

“That’s why our personalized, One-Stop-Shop offering – accessible online or in our ZEEKR stores – gives the customer everything from finance, insurance, home wallbox installation4 and public charging solutions, through to vehicle service plans and extended warranties, helping to set new standards in EV ownership.”

Following the first ZEEKR vehicles delivered to customers in the Netherlands and Sweden this year, others will soon in Germany, early in 2024. ZEEKR will expand its presence into most countries in Western Europe by 2026.
