Moscow are planning to reverse the 1996 treaty that bans the testing on nuclear weapons” which has left the US “disturbed.”

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s envoy to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), has said that Moscow will revoke their ratification of the treaty which was signed in 1996.

This will then leave the door wide open for Valdimir Putin to start detonating nuclear weapons on testing regions.

The US State Department spokesperson said, “We are disturbed by the comments of Ambassador Ulyanov in Vienna today.

“A move like this by any state party needlessly endangers the global norm against nuclear explosive testing.

The statement also warned, Russia “wielding arms control and irresponsible nuclear rhetoric in a failing attempt to coerce other states.”

Ulyanov said, “Russia plans to revoke ratification [which took place in the year 2000] of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty [CTBT].

“The aim is to be on equal footing with the US who signed the treaty but didn’t ratify it. Revocation doesn’t mean the intention to resume nuclear tests.”

Putin has said, “Theoretically, we may revoke the ratification. It’s up to the state duma (Parliament) members.”

Putin added, “I’m not ready to say yet whether it’s necessary for us to conduct tests or not.”

The Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday at a military base in Brest, “I am getting the impression – I say again that it is my opinion – that Americans are pushing Russians toward using the most terrifying weapon.

They arm Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelensky and his army and provide long-range missiles. Even missiles able to fly for 300 km (186 miles).”

He added, “One such attack deep into the Russian territory and the response will be colossal. Otherwise, why do we need these (nuclear) weapons for?”

Putin said that the Satan-2 and the “Flying Chernobyl” missiles will be ready very soon, he warned that Russia has “practically finished work on the modern strategic weapons that I have been talking about and I announced a few years ago.”

Putin told a conference in Sochi, “From the moment the launch of missiles is detected, no matter where it comes from – from any point of the world ocean or from any territory – such a number, so many hundreds of our missiles appear in the air in a retaliatory strike that there is no chance of survival there will be no single enemy left, and in several directions at once.

“The last successful test of the Burevestnik, a global-range cruise missile with a nuclear installation, a nuclear propulsion system, has been carried out.”
