Prince Andrew was dramatically arrested at Sandringham today as bombshell new claims rocked the Royal Family.
The 66-year-old was held on suspicion of misconduct in public office as police were seen outside his Norfolk home.
Within hours, former Prime Minister Gordon Brown revealed he had handed detectives a five-page memorandum. This contained what he called “new and additional information”.
The explosive dossier has been sent to the Metropolitan Police, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley and other UK forces.
Brown said, “I have submitted new information to ensure justice for trafficked girls and women.”
The King’s brother is accused of leaking confidential details to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while serving as a UK trade envoy in 2011 and 2012.
Brown wrote in The New Statesman, “What I discovered about the abuse of women by male predators and their enablers – and Britain’s as yet unacknowledged role – has shocked me to the core. It demands an in-depth police investigation, and is by far the biggest scandal of all.
“I have been told privately that the investigations related to the former Prince Andrew did not properly check vital evidence of flights. Additionally, I have asked the police to look at this as part of the new inquiry.
“The Stansted revelations alone require them to interview Andrew.”
Documents released by the US Department of Justice appear to suggest he passed on details of visits. They also suggest he shared potential investment opportunities with Epstein.
Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
Brown last week demanded the royal be questioned over alleged sex trafficking linked to Epstein.
He said he was “shocked to the core” by evidence that dozens of private jet flights — including the infamous “Lolita Express” — allegedly transported trafficked girls.
Among those flights was the 2001 trip that brought Virginia Giuffre to the UK.
Ms Giuffre has alleged she was forced to have sex with Andrew in London. He has strenuously denied the claim.
Brown also cited emails in which Epstein allegedly boasted about using Stansted Airport. According to these emails, he used it to fly girls in from Latvia, Lithuania, and Russia.
“The Stansted revelations alone require them to interview Andrew,” Brown said.
Several UK forces are now examining material contained in the latest tranche of Epstein files.
Essex Police confirmed it is assessing emails and flight logs linked to private jets arriving at and departing from Stansted.
Andrew stepped back from royal duties in 2019 and was later stripped of his honorary military titles and royal patronages by King Charles III.
Today’s arrest marks the most dramatic escalation yet in the long-running Epstein scandal.
