Eddisons has expanded its South East presence after acquiring Kirkby Diamond in a deal worth up to £8.25m, significantly strengthening the Leeds-headquartered firm’s agency, property management and land development offer.

Kirkby Diamond – a £6.2m-turnover outfit employing 62 staff across Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, St Albans and Enfield – gives Eddisons full coverage of the M1 corridor, a key strategic target in its growth plan. The acquisition expands both the firm’s geographic reach and the depth of its professional services.

The move lands just days after Eddisons bought London-based Network Auctions, boosting its auctions capability across the south of England and underscoring a rapid-fire expansion drive. It is also the agency’s tenth acquisition completed in the last five years.

Eddisons managing director Anthony Spencer said: “I am delighted to welcome the Kirkby Diamond team to Eddisons. The acquisition significantly strengthens our coverage and expertise, consolidating our market position in key industrial locations.

“Kirkby Diamond are a great fit with Eddisons, culturally and strategically, and I look forward to taking forward the opportunities that the deal presents.”

Luke Tillison, managing director of Kirkby Diamond, added: “Through the quality of our people, Kirkby Diamond has built a reputation for placing our clients’ interests at the forefront of everything we do. We are excited to be joining Eddisons and to have this opportunity to develop our offering on a broader basis with like-minded colleagues.”

The acquisition of Kirby Diamond increases Eddisons’ UK offices to over 35 and takes its workforce to more than 500 people. Last year the firm recorded a revenue of over £46m.
