Boeing stock pares losses after 12% rise in Q2 deliveries

said Tuesday it delivered 136 commercial jets in the second quarter, an increase of more than 12% from the delivery of 121 commercial jets in the second quarter of 2022. The quarter’s totals bring year-to-date sales of commercial aircraft to 266, Boeing said. The aerospace and defense giant is scheduled to report second-quarter earnings before the bell on July 26. Boeing shares have gained 12% so far this year, compared with an advance of about 15% for the S&P 500 index.

Last month, Boeing acknowledged problems with the fittings of its 787 jets, and earlier in the year there were 737 Max fastenings problems and a production halt due to labor negotiations at one of its key suppliers, Spirit AeroSystems Holdings Inc.
