Jason Corbett launches new buying agency

Jason Corbett

Jason Corbett, previously a director of Sothebys International, has set up his own buying agency in south west London.

Corbett, who was also previously a partner at Carter Jonas and director of Sullivan Thomas and Savills, says his new company, Rowallan Buying Agents, will focus on helping buyers purchase a wide range of homes from SW London through to the southern Home Counties.

Corbett, who has 35 years agency experience, said: “After so many years working for sellers and for some of the most successful agencies in the UK, last year I took the brave step of setting up on my own so that I could advise discerning clients on their best opportunities and find them their perfect properties.

“With so many contacts in the industry, setting up Rowallan Buying Agents really was such a logical step forward. These days, perhaps more than ever, more and more properties are sold off-market and having previously fed properties to other buying agents, the timing seemed perfect to hone my experience and help buyers, renters and investors from all over the globe.”

Dan Fox promoted to head of sales at Savills in Islington

Dan Fox

Savills has promoted Dan Fox to head of sales at its Islington office.

Fox, a director in the Islington sales team, has been head of department since joining Savills from Knight Frank in 2020.

After graduating from university, he started his property career as a negotiator at Foxtons in Shoreditch before joining Knight Frank’s sales division in Islington in 2016.

Fox has over 13 years’ experience in the property industry and will oversee Savills multi-disciplinary Islington office. Responsible for the office’s day-to-day management, he will lead the team handling property sales across the full spectrum of the market as well as growing the office’s profile and its prime residential market share.

Property veteran Paul Williams who has been with the firm for 18 years remains head of office. His long career with Savills has seen him advise on some of Islington’s highest value and high-profile sales, building up an enviable book of contacts over the years. Fox has been working in the Islington property market for over 35 years and his depth of experience and local knowledge in the area is unrivalled.

Fox commented: “I couldn’t be happier to be starting the year with a new chapter in my career at Savills. This role is the culmination of over a decade’s hard work and enthusiasm in the property industry, in which I continue to develop daily. I’m looking forward to collaborating with the team to grow market share, with a particular focus on evolving the prime market strategy while continuing to provide the highest level of service to our existing clients.”

Liza-Jane Kelly, head of London residential at Savills, added: “I am delighted to see Dan step into this new role and I am confident that his experience handling property sales at all levels of the market stands him in good stead to thrive in this position. He has a proven track record for delivering results and is a trusted advisor to a growing number of clients across the market.

“Complementing Paul’s residential property skills and wealth of experience, who has been with Savills for nearly two decades, they will combine to form a property tour de force for Islington. Under their combined leadership, I look forward to the Islington office going from strength-to-strength and I believe it is possible to take the already hugely successful office to even higher heights.”
