Dexters has announced the acquisition of Keatons in East London which has a large portfolio of properties under management.

Founded almost 30 years ago Keatons is a well-established agency operating Bow, Deptford, Hackney, Kentish Town, Shoreditch, Stratford and Wanstead. This latest acquisition welcomes 90 new colleagues to join Dexters’ 2,500-strong team across the capital and adds over 2,500 properties to Dexters’ growing property management portfolio.

Keatons’ services include sales, lettings, new homes and property management and the estate agency.

Dexters is one of the fastest growing independent estate agencies in London. The acquisition of Keatons, along with local South London estate agent James Alexander in Norbury and the announcement of the opening of two new Dexters offices in Surbiton and Canada Water have enlarged the group’s portfolio of local high street London offices by 10 in just one month.

Andy Shepherd, CEO of Dexters, said: “We are pleased to welcome Keatons to the Dexters group. We are privileged to have been chosen as the partners to deliver the next phase of growth for the business. Keatons deep local market knowledge, strong high street presence and commitment to outstanding customer service aligns perfectly with our core values. We look forward to working closely with the Keatons team as we continue our growth journey.”

Kye Wheatley, founding Partner at Keatons, commented: “We chose Dexters as they share our passion for providing first-class service and local expertise. Keatons will now benefit from access to Dexters unrivalled experience in helping teams deliver a brilliant customer service and from its significant financial strength. We are delighted that this transaction has been completed in less than four weeks from agreeing terms.  We have been very impressed by the speed and efficiency of the Dexterr inhouse Acquisition and Legal team as the transaction completed with no surprises.”

The Dexters group, chaired by former Sainsbury’s CEO Justin King CBE and led by CEO Andy Shepherd, now operates more than 180 offices across London, following this latest acquisition, which is understood to have been brokered by Atomic Consultancy. Dexters says that it now manages more than 48,000 landlords and serves over 200,000 buyers and tenants actively seeking homes in London.
