Pattinson Estate Agency continues to grow exponentially as it announces the takeover of yet another North East estate agency.

The company has completed the purchase of Browns Estate Agency, a well-established estate agency in Stockton and Norton, Teesside.

The Browns Norton Office has become one of Pattinson Estate Agency’s 27 branches which span across the North East, and the Brown’s Stockton office has merged into the current Pattinson Stockton branch.

The news comes just over two months after Pattinson’s takeover of Ryedales Estate Agency in Cramlington.

The now former owners of Browns Estate Agency, Chris and Trish Brown, are retiring after 33 years in the business.

The pair said in a statement: “Like us they [Pattinsons] are also an independent family owned and run estate agency. For clients we anticipate that there will be very little change as the existing teams will continue to look after you under the Pattinson brand.”

The managing director of Pattinson Estate Agency, Caroline Pattinson, added: “Whilst we are sad to see the end of an era with Chris and Trish’s retirement, we are more than happy to ensure that this is a smooth transition for their clients.

“Everything is largely remaining the same for Browns’ clients, except for a name change to Pattinson Estate Agency. For us as a business the Browns sales and lettings team joining us is a perfect fit. Having got to know the team we are confident that they have a very similar client focused approach to selling, renting and managing properties as we do.

“We have been a family run independent estate agency for nearly 50 years, in that time we have seen a great deal of change but one thing which never has is our focus on customers and trying to ensure that we offer the best customer service. We wish Chris and Trish all the best in their next chapter.”
