Forest has launched a partnership with Whole Foods Market, allowing the premium natural and organic supermarket to highlight its store based promotions within the shared eBike app.

Forest created the adtech map function, a ‘Point of Interest’, to allow partner companies to showcase their products, services and discounts within the Forest home page map. Whole Foods Market’s ‘Point of Interest’ will become a permanent feature of the map during the period of the partnership, reinforcing the brand every time a rider uses the dockless eBikes.

The launch of the Whole Foods Market – Forest map partnership is the inaugural ‘Point of Interest’ tie-up for the micromobility company who has developed the adtech feature itself.

Forest’s partnership model allows corporate partners to use Forest’s ad tech platform to pass on cost savings to the end users. This makes the company on average 50% cheaper over a 20 minute journey compared to its London based competitors.

Whole Foods Market believes that sharing its store locations within the Forest app will help drive sustainable footfall and raise awareness of their stores to new customers. Forest sees thousands of riders using the service weekly and, in turn, replacing more than 30,000 car trips with bike rides. The Forest app receives more than a million visits per week.

The partnership launches on 19 September for an initial period of one month. There will be five participating stores included in the app; Camden, Clapham Junction, Fulham Broadway, Kensington High Street and Piccadilly in which users will be able to redeem £2 off of a £10 spend, in-store.

Izzie Peskett, Head of Marketing at Whole Foods Market, said: “At Whole Foods Market, we are constantly looking for like-minded brands to partner with. Our mission is to nurture people and the planet, and we are thrilled to be working with Forest across September and October, a brand that aligns to our mission and values so well.

“We have partnered with this inspirational brand to offer its riders 10 minutes of free ride time plus a great, exclusive in-store offer. We feel it is now more important than ever to reward those wanting to be more mindful of their impact on the environment, and this is a fantastic way to do so. We encourage anyone interested to make the most of this offer, and hope it allows us to reach more Londoners looking to shop more sustainably this Autumn.”

Jamie Richards, Forest’s Head of Commercial, said: “The Forest app is more than just a tool for accessing affordable ebikes, it’s now becoming a platform for discovering great products and services across London. We currently have over half a million app users using the Forest map to locate bikes and parking bays, so developing the ‘Points of Interest’ function was a natural next step. This function will help our app users discover interesting products and services all around London, providing great offers exclusively to Forest customers.”
