On Monday the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has said they’ve foiled a plan by “special service of a NATO country” to hijack a “nuclear bomber.”

The FSB claims they have stopped an attempt to hijack a “Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber” which carries missiles.

In the process the FSB has claimed they have uncovered intelligence which will now help Russia to target Ukraine.

The Russian intelligence agency said, “The FSB has stopped another Ukrainian special services attempt to carry out an operation to hijack the Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber.”

The intelligence agency said that an “special service of a NATO country” helped with “preparing and implementing” the covert operation.

State news showed a Russian pilot of the long-range bomber standing in front of the Tu-22M3 claiming that he was targeted by a Ukrainian recruiter.

The Russian pilot claimed, “A stranger wrote to me on Telegram. Without morals or ethics, he started threatening my close relatives [and] demanded that I burn down aircraft.

“I told my commanders everything. My interlocutor didn’t even hide that he was from the Ukrainian special services.”

The pilot added, “He suggested I hijack a warplane to Ukrainian territory, but not just a plane, but a long-range bomber that can carry nuclear weapons.”
