“The Liberal Democrats are back in the West Country.”

In a swipe at the Tory Party Sir Ed said the public are fed up of the “political clowns” who are in government which is why “thousands of lifelong Conservatives are switching to the Liberal Democrats.”

He said that the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is “out of touch, out of ideas and out of excuses,” and now is the time to “get these clowns out of Number 10.”

A Conservative peer and pollster, Lord Haywood said that is was “very good result for the Lib Dems in Somerton, a good result for the Labour Party in Selby, and good/relieved result for the Conservative Party in Uxbridge.”

The deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats Daisy Cooper said that she is “over the moon” over the by-election win in Frome, Somerset.

Cooper told Sky News, “It’s a very important win and we’re absolutely over the moon.”

She was then asked the win shows that there anger towards the Troy Party, Cooper said that they have been told, people are “sick to the back teeth of this Conservative government.”

She added, “They feel completely abandoned at a time when they’re facing a real cost of living crisis.

“People are struggling their mortgages, their childcare, with everything else, and people are feeling the NHS crisis as well.”

Cooper then directed her fire towards Sunak and accused him of “failing on every single one of his pledges” as inflation is still too high along with the cost of living.
