A more powerful, sportier EV9 electric SUV is coming soon. The range-topping Kia EV9 GT will feature several upgrades over the current GT-Line model, including a new interior design. Check out the video below to see how the inside of the upcoming GT model compares to the current GT-line.

Kia’s first three-row electric SUV has been a hit so far, helping to lead to back-to-back record sales months in the US.

With another 2,388 sold in the US in August, Kia EV9 sales reached nearly 13,900 through the first eight months of 2024.

In April, Kia confirmed a new GT variant will top off the EV9’s lineup in January 2025. Despite its big body, the EV9 GT will have “enormous power” and be able to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in four seconds.

Kia said the power will come from an AWD “high-output” dual-motor system, offering faster acceleration. It will also include a reinforced suspension and electronic braking for better control at high speeds.

Ahead of its debut, we’ve seen the upgraded electric SUV out in the wild with new design elements like a more aggressive bumper. We are now getting a better look at how Kia’s new EV9 GT interior will compare to the current GT-Line model.

The new video from HealerTV compares the front rows of the two models. Immediately, you can spot several differences, including a more aggressive black design theme with a yellow stripe down the center of the seat.

The GT logo has also been moved up to the headrest, where Kia’s GT-Line emblem is on the backrest.

Kia swapped the headrest material on the GT model to leather, while the GT-Line variant features mesh. The seats also appear to be slightly thicker to handle the higher power.

Other than that, the interior design appears similar. The EV9 GT model is expected to offer other interior design upgrades, like the steering wheel and dash.
