Iran calls on ‘Islamic and Arab countries’ to stop the ‘crimes of the Zionists’ as ‘the next stage is coming’

The Iranian President has called on the Islamic world to stop Israel oppressing the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Ebrahim Raisi has made the appeal to the “Arab countries” along with Syria to unite in the condemnation of the Israeli military conducting air strikes in Gaza which has killed more than 2,000 Gazans in 7 days of attacks.

The actions of the Israeli military has sparked demonstrations across the Arab world which has seen tens of thousands protest in Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon as well as many other countries globally.

In a speech, Prime Minister Raisi declared that “Islamic and Arab countries, as well as all free people of the world, must reach a single position to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian people.”

On Saturday the Israeli Prime Minister told his troops whilst visiting forces outside Gaza, that the next stage is coming.

He said to his forces, “You ready for the next stage? The next stage is coming.”

On Saturday the Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh accused Israel of committing “war crimes” in the Gaza Strip as Israel continues with their bombardment.

Haniyeh heavily criticised the “barbaric Israeli siege” that has been “imposed” on Palestinian territory.

The Hamas chief added, “the Israeli occupation is banning entry of humanitarian aid and medical supplies to the Gaza Strip.”

He said in a letter to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres “Israeli atrocities amount to war crimes,” he is putting pressure on the UN to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip which is home to 2.3 million Gazans.
