After showcasing its full EV lineup for the first time, Kia said it will “take the lead” as the industry shifts to electric. Kia will offer an electric vehicle across nearly every segment with the new EV2, EV5, and several more.

The South Korean automaker has already carved a niche for itself with the EV3, EV6, and EV9, but Kia has much bigger plans.

Kia returned to the IAA Mobility Show after a four-year hiatus in a big way, showcasing its entire European EV lineup for the first time.

At the event, we got a closer look at the upcoming EV2, Kia’s smallest and most affordable electric car, and the new EV5, a midsize electric SUV set to face off against the Tesla Model Y.

The EV5, which will launch across Europe later this year, is arriving in the region’s largest and fastest-growing segment. Kia already opened EV5 orders in the UK earlier this month, starting at £39,295 ($53,000). Powered by an 81.4 kWh battery, the electric SUV offers up to 329 miles of range.

Kia also gave us a closer look at the Concept EV2. The production version of the new entry-level EV is set to launch in Europe next year, following the EV5 and EV4.

The EV4, Kia’s first hatchback, was showcased at the event. Kia is building the electric hatch in Slovakia as its first European-made EV. It’s available in the UK, starting at £34,695 ($47,700).

Kia also showed off its sporty “GT” models, including the EV9 GT and new EV6 GT, the most dynamic EV it has ever made with 641 horsepower.

And that’s not all. Kia used the opportunity to show off its first electric van, the PV5. The PV5 is currently available in Passenger and Cargo variants, but Kia plans to launch several new variants, including an open-bed (like a pickup) and light camper.

If you’re at the Munich Motor Show, stop by Kia’s exhibition, and you can test drive the EV3, new EV6, EV6 GT, and the EV9 to see it for yourself.

Kia said it “will take the lead in popularising EVs” as it continues to expand its lineup with an electric option for nearly everyone.

The EV3 was the best-selling retail EV in the UK in the first half of the year. With the Sportage-sized EV5 and EV4 rolling out, Kia aims to take the EV lead in other parts of Europe.
