Ukrainian officials have launched a “pilot project” to send their citizens back to Crimea and President Volodymyr Zelesnky has warned Moscow that they will “take back” the whole of the occupied annexed peninsula.
Zelensky said that the Kerch Bridge is a legitimate target for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is also used to provide Vladimir Putin’s troops with supplies.
President Zelensky said, “The challenge is to take back all of Crimea, because it is our sovereign territory.
“The Crimean bridge is not just a logistical route. It is a route used to speed up the war with ammunition, and this is done daily, and it is militarizing the Crimean peninsula.

“For us, for obvious reasons, this is an enemy facility built outside the law, outside international laws and all applicable norms, so it is clear that this is our target.”
Ukraine has also started a pilot program, Crimea Restoration Reserve, to recruit personnel for public administration in the annexed peninsula.
Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea Tamila Tasheva said,
“At the initiative of the Ukrainian President’s Office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and in cooperation with ministries and departments, a pilot project, Crimea Restoration Reserve, has been launched.
“I urge those citizens who are ready to go to the territory of Crimea to submit their candidacies to this personnel reserve.
“It is important for us to create the Crimean team that will work on the peninsula after its de-occupation.”
Around a thousand people have already sent applications in and 80% are applicant for Crimea, Tasheva said.
She added, “This means that everyone believes in the inevitability of de-occupation.”
