Dwello, Scotland’s newest residential lettings agent has opened its office in Glasgow’s West End, with the aim of bringing 1,000 properties under management within the first two years.

Founded by experienced landlord, Stephen McKechnie, who has assembled a team of experienced agents, Dwello aims to compete with the big established agents in the Scottish market.

The company’s founders have first-hand experience of all sides of residential lettings, having been landlords and agents.

The agency will employ fifteen staff in its Glasgow office.

David Gibb, operations director at Dwello, said: “At Dwello, we believe that letting agency is ultimately a people business. Many landlords appreciate a more personal, relationship-driven service, similar to the trusted connection they might have with their accountant or financial advisor.

“That’s exactly what we’re building at Dwello, a service that prioritises long-term relationships, trust, and a more thoughtful approach to property management. Our team has seen first-hand how much better the experience can be for landlords and tenants when their agent is truly invested in their needs.”

McKechnie added: “Having been a landlord for three decades, I understand the challenges and frustrations that come with the rental process. That’s why I’ve made it my goal to bring a new perspective to the industry – one that genuinely prioritises the needs of both landlords and tenants.

“Dwello will manage properties with the same level of dedication and attention to detail with which I have managed my own.

“We’re excited to open our Glasgow office and look forward to building a better rental sector with our landlord and tenant customers.”
