Political party conferences presents Propertymark with chance to ‘champion agents’ – London Wallet

With the political conferences upon us, bringing together party members, activists, MPs, and a wide range of stakeholders, Propertymark says it is up and down the country bolstering the work of agents having key conversations with politicians ahead of important legislation making its way through parliament, such as the Renters’ Rights Bill.

Having already attended the Liberal Democrat Conference this week, the trade body is now planning to visit to the other two major party events, with the Labour Party Conference taking place from Sunday 22 September to Wednesday 25 September, and the Conservative Party Conference from Sunday 29 September to Wednesday 2 October.

The industry body is seeking to promote the dedication and ethics of its members while also showing the range of research and position papers it has gathered in support of its campaigns for reform.

The conferences will allow Propertymark to meet with new MPs and provide them with on-the-ground insight into the industry as well as the opportunity to help them become familiar with what Propertymark is and what it stands for.

Propertymark has also produced a new Councillors Information Pack for this year which includes consumer advice, information on landlord and agent forums and current positions on tackling empty homes and licensing schemes.

The Labour Conference will also provide a chance to continue its crucial conversations with Ministers in order to generate real, fair change within the industry.
