Online property training platform The Able Agent has launched in Scotland.

First to launch is the ABBE Ofqual regulated Level 3 Certificate in Lettings Advice and Practice (Scotland), equivalent to an SCQF Level 6, part of the RQF framework.

The launch means agents operating north of the border will be able to undertake the full set of Able Agent training, with a view to obtaining accredited qualifications covering both lettings and property management in Scotland. Prior to this, Scottish agents were only able to access the platform for business skills and general training.

Now, following thorough research and development by the Able Agent, the course content has been greatly extended to cover the requirements and regulations of letting and property management in Scotland. It has been designed to help agents to navigate this area, and to gain a broader understanding of how to increase their knowledge and progress towards an accredited qualification.

Charlotte Jeffrey-Campbell, founder and director at The Able Agent, said: “We have had strong demand from clients requesting our content and learning resources to cover the Scottish market and processes. Allowing them to support their colleagues in Scotland with relevant and accessible courses, which are applicable to the legal requirements. After months of development, we are delighted to be launching.

“Our focus has always been on creating rich and dynamic content to support agents in taking a more commercial approach, whilst being able to achieve appropriate qualifications at the same time. This launch is no exception, which we hope this will lead to more and a better choice of modern, professional online training in the months and years ahead.”

Commenting on the launch, Kevin Davidson-Hall from Martin & Co – Scotland, said: “We warmly welcome Able Agent’s launch in Scotland as we know that there is considerable demand from the teams working within our office network in Scotland for both Scotland-specific training resources and the prestigious qualification that can be gained from the platform.

“Lettings legislation is a constantly moving playing field, thus it is of vital importance that there is a sound, well-proven route by which members of our team can learn and deepen their understanding of the complex matters they advise clients on a daily basis.”
