Sky has secured a long-term lease on new office space at 55 Douglas Street in Glasgow city centre, comprising 26,184 sq ft across the fourth and fifth floors.

Sky said the move to the grade-A office building represents a strategic investment in its people, providing access to high-quality workspace that supports collaboration and wellbeing.

Global real estate adviser CBRE, which advised Sky in securing the lease, said the building’s design and facilities have been curated to enhance the employee experience.

This reflects the growing importance occupiers place on creating environments that help attract, retain and engage talent, according to CBRE.

Following a comprehensive refurbishment completed in 2019, 55 Douglas Street has contemporary office accommodation and amenities, including spa-style shower and changing facilities, an onsite fitness studio and extensive cycle storage.

Sky will also undertake an office fit-out with catering and various spaces for its customer service group and supporting teams.

Sky joins existing tenants of 55 Douglas Street including Scottish Daily Record & Sunday Mail, a subsidiary of Reach, which occupies the entire first floor.

Martin Speirs, director at CBRE, said: “This new home gives Sky employees a modern, amenity-rich workplace designed to enhance wellbeing, collaboration and productivity, reflecting the company’s commitment to an outstanding employee experience.

“More than ever, businesses are recognising that successful workspaces go beyond desks; they create environments that energise, inspire and support their teams. 55 Douglas Street delivers on every level, offering modern, flexible workspaces, top-tier wellbeing amenities and exceptional connectivity.”

Diana Foxlee, director of Sky Spaces, said: “Over the next couple of months, we will be carrying out work to make 55 Douglas Street even better for our colleagues, who are looking forward to moving in late May 2026.”

CBRE and JLL are joint letting agents of 55 Douglas Street. Around 44,000 sq ft of further space remains available across the ground, second and third floors.
