The Prime Minister had a brutal grilling on the Commons following Monday’s “sell-out” UK-EU trade deal.

Sir Keir Starmer insists this new UK-EU trade deal will enable Britain to “seize the opportunities of the future” which will “release us from the tired arguments of the past.”

After Starmer made his comment in the Commons an MP shouted, “Tell that to the fishermen.”

Starmer was blasted on Monday for a “shameful betrayal” for fisherman as the Prime Minister has agreed for European boats to fish in UK waters as part of the “Reset” deal with Brussels.

The Scottish Fishermen’s Federation has warned Starmer’s new post-Brexit deal is a “horror show for Scottish fishermen.”

Starmer said in the Commons on Tuesday that the Tories Brexit deal has left the UK with a “huge gap” limiting cooperation with the EU, he added, “this partnership closes that gap.”

Kemi Badenoch accused Starmer of being a “failure of a Prime Minister,” and the Labour leader said that she is an “unserious” Tory leader.

Badenoch told MPs, “The British people know when they are being misled,” Badenoch blasted. “They know that headlines fail. He didn’t listen to the CBI on the jobs tax, he didn’t listen to the FSB on the family farms tax.

“This deal has already unravelled, the damage is becoming clear, the political consequences will be huge and here he is trumpeting his success.

“When he stands up in a moment, he will deflect, he will dismiss, he will distract… but we all know the truth.

“This was a fiction of a speech, a fraud of a deal, a failure of a Prime Minister.”

Starmer sarcastically replied, “Oh dear… That was just such an unserious response.”

Badenoch accused Starmer of “selling our fishermen down the river” and blasted that the Prime Minister’s EU deal has “failed.”

She said, “This renegotiation should have been an opportunity to improve terms for our country. The terms are improved for the EU.

“And the Prime Minister can dress it up as much a she wants but he has failed. It is bad for bills, it is bad for jobs, and it is bad for borders.

“This is not a deal made for Britain. This is a deal made for Labour’s PR to show them on the world stage. But it is a stitch-up for our country for their short-term headlines.”

She added, “This is a Prime Minister who would pay to give away his family silver.

“Why is the Prime Minister selling our fishermen down the river? Is it because they don’t vote Labour?”
