The Prime Minister has made another agreement under the UK-EU reset deal which will now allow British travellers to use eGates across Europe.

British holidaymakers will be able to move more freely in Europe as the “dreaded queues at border control,” government officials have confirmed.

Animal health certificates will now be stopped as “pet passports” will be introduced for dogs and cats heading with travellers to Europe.

Government officials are set to enter into talks to about DNA, fingerprinting and EU facial images including vehicle data to allow the UK to catch “dangerous criminals” to “ensure they face justice quickly.”

The government has been engaged in “extensive negotiations” with officials in Brussels for the past six months and Sir Keir Starmer’s team has been discussing a wide range of changes under the “reset” deal with the European Union, which also focuses on growing the British economy and to support jobs.

Starmer said the new agreement with the European Union will be “good for jobs, good for bills and good for our borders”.

Under the deal there will be a far more simpler process for food and drink imports and exports as there will now be a lot less “red tape” for businesses, which in turn will allow an increase in trade.

The Prime Minister said, “Ultimately this could lower food prices and increase choice on supermarket shelves – meaning more money in people’s pockets.”

Starmer added, “It’s time to look forward.

“To move on from the stale old debates and political fights to find common sense, practical solutions which get the best for the British people.

“We’re ready to work with partners if it means we can improve people’s lives here at home.

“So that’s what this deal is all about – facing out into the world once again, in the great tradition of this nation.

“Building the relationships we choose, with the partners we choose, and closing deals in the national interest. Because that is what independent, sovereign nations do.”
