Target to hire nearly 100,000 seasonal workers

said Tuesday it will add nearly 100,000 seasonal workers for the latter part of the year, joining its more than 400,000 employees for the holiday season. Target is also “preparing to deliver an industry-leading holiday shopping experience” and existing workers will be offered extra hours. Target and other retailers have unveiled early-sales plans for the fall, with Target saying it will hold its Circle Week sales from Oct. 1 to Oct. 7. Shares of Target were flat in the extended session Tuesday after ending the regular trading day up 0.7%.
