The GV90 is shaping up to be an ultra-luxe tech powerhouse. Genesis set out to redefine luxury with the GV90, and the interior proves it. Here’s our first look.

Genesis takes luxury up a notch with the GV90 interior

Remember the Neolun Concept, the full-size electric SUV Genesis revealed at the NY Auto Show two years ago? Genesis is finally preparing to introduce its new flagship EV later this year, and from the first look, it appears to be almost identical to the concept.

The concept is the brand’s “ultra-luxe vision of luxury SUVs,” according to Genesis. Inspired by Korean architecture, the stunning SUV features a reductive design with no unnecessary details.

“It’s the epitome of timeless design and sophisticated craftsmanship,” as Luc Donckerwolke, Genesis’ head creative officer, describes the flagship SUV.

Genesis claims the interior boasts “a whole new level of luxury” with premium materials and features. It will also serve as the brand’s tech beacon, featuring Hyundai’s latest software and connectivity technology.

Although we’ve caught a sneak peek of the GV90’s interior a few times in the past, the latest spy shots from TheKoreanCarBlog reveal a near-production-ready model.

Past images have shown similar designs, but up until now, many features, including the infotainment, gear selector, and steering wheel have been covered.

As you can see, the production-ready GV90 interior looks nearly identical to the Neolun Concept. While this model has a black interior, other prototypes have been caught with the “Purple Silk” leather trim and “Royal Indigo” cashmere elements that were featured in the concept.

The massive digital infotainment screen remains at the center with several “jewel-like” physical buttons below it for climate control and other functions.

Like the concept, the GV90 does not appear to include a separate driver cluster. Instead, it’s expected to use a head-up display (HUD) with some information on the infotainment screen.

According to local reports, Genesis is developing a new “Connect W” high-tech infotainment system based on Hyundai’s Pleos. The end-to-end software platform connects everything from the vehicle’s infotainment to the hardware and Operating System.

As an Android-based system, Hyundai Pleos Connect offers a “smartphone-like” user interface, similar to what’s found in Tesla models (shown below).

While Genesis has yet to say what size the screen is, the GV90 appears to feature Hyundai Mobis’ rolling screen that stretches up to 24″.

Genesis is expected to unveil the GV90 in the second half of 2026. Prices and final specs have yet to be revealed, but the flagship electric SUV is rumored to be one of the first vehicles to ride on Hyundai’s eM platform, which the company said delivers an up to 50% improvement in range compared to its current E-GMP models.

At least two GV90 variants have been spotted testing in the US, Europe, and Korea: A flagship coach door model and a standard version.

Local reports suggest the premium model could cost up to 300,000 million won ($200,000) in Korea. In the US, the Genesis GV90 is expected to start at around $100,000. Higher-end trims could cost upwards of $200,000.
