Toyota’s upgraded electric SUV is now available to order. The 2026 Toyota bZ offers more driving range, new styling inside and out, a built-in NACS port so you can recharge at Tesla Superchargers, and prices still start at under $35,000. Toyota is also giving all bZ4X owners a free NACS charging adapter.
2026 Toyota bZ prices and driving range by trim
Some of you may remember the bZ4X, Toyota’s first electric SUV. Well, Toyota is dropping the “4X” for the 2026 model year and upgrading it in about every way you could think of.
The 2026 Toyota bZ is now available to order on Toyota’s website. With prices starting at $34,900, it’s now one of the most affordable EVs in the US alongside the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Chevy Equinox EV.
Despite the upgrades, the 2026 model year is somehow over $2,100 cheaper than the outgoing bZ4X. It’s available in two grades: XLE and Limited. The lowest-priced XLE FWD trim is powered by a 57.7 kWh battery, good for 236 miles of range.
If you’re looking for more, the XLE FWD Plus trim offers up to 314 miles of driving range from a larger 74.7 kWh battery. It starts at $37,900.
The more premium Limited grade is priced from $43,300 and adds features such as a panoramic roof, a digital rearview mirror, and a split roof rear spoiler. Both trims can be upgraded to all-wheel drive with Toyota’s off-road X-MODE system for an extra $2,000.
Thanks to new SiC semiconductors, AWD models now deliver up to 388 horsepower, or 50% more than the 2025 Toyota bZ4X.
Toyota gave the electric SUV a fresh look inside and out. The new bZ now features Toyota’s “hammerhead” front face with slim headlights and a full-length LED bar, first shown on the latest Camry and Crown models.
Meanwhile, the interior was overhauled with a larger 14″ infotainment screen, two wireless phone chargers, an improved dashboard, and a redesigned center console. Toyota recently introduced support for Apple Maps EV Routing through Apple CarPlay, now available on all 2023 and newer electric vehicles.
In addition to the range and performance improvements, Toyota is making it way easier for drivers to recharge. The 2026 bZ includes a native NACS port to recharge at Tesla Superchargers.
It also now has Plug & Charge, which stores your information in the Toyota app, so all you have to do is simply plug in to start and pay for the charging session.

Toyota also said it’s giving all 2023 – 2025 bZ4X owners a free NACS adapter. Owners can expect a letter from Toyota starting next month with instructions on how to contact their dealer to receive the complimentary unit.
Although it just became available, Toyota is already offering a few deals that may be worth checking out. The 2026 bZ is available with $6,000 in lease cash, or 0% APR financing for up to 72 months.
